Environmental management: Remove spore masses by mowing, brushing, raking or syringing. Fungicides Not Required

Environmental management: Avoid excess nitrogen and drought. Resistant varieties: Kentucky Bluegrass: Moonlight, Glade, Liberty, Ram, Touchdown, Midnight. Substitute ryegrasses or fescues.Apply fungicides in November or March.

Snow Mold, Gray, Typhula Blight
(Typhula spp.)
Environmental management: Continue mowing until top growth ceases in the fall. Avoid accumulations of snow. Vigorously rake damaged areas in spring. Apply fungicide before first long-lasting snow cover.
Use: Chipco GT, Concert, Daconil, Disarm (supression), Fathom, Glacier, Insignia, ParFlo, Prominence.

Snow Mold, Pink, Microdochium Patch
(Microdochium niuale)
Environmental management: Avoid late fall nitrogen application. Continue fall mowing until growth ceases. Resistant varieties: Kentucky Bluegrass: Liberty, Touchdown, Midnight, Unique. Bentgrass: Century. Apply Fungicide before first long-lasting snow cover.

Summer Patch: Poa Patch
(Magnaporthe poa)
Environmental management: Reduce compaction. Improve drainage, but avoid moisture stress. Reduce thatch and Annual Bluegrass population.

Take-all Patch; Bentgrass: Gaeumannomyces Patch; Ophiobolus Patch.

Environmental management: Use acidifying fertilizers or sulfur to decrease thatch and lower soil pH. Balance base saturation of soil. Apply Foliar Calcium.
Use: Compass, Concert, Fathom, Heritage, Hoist, Insignia.

Necrotic Ringspot
(Leptosphaeria korrae)
Environmental management: Avoid excess nitrogen, drought, excess water and very low mowing. Resistant varieties - Kentucky Bluegrass: Eclipse, Midnight, America, Moonlight, Liberator. Mix Perennial Ryegrass into Kentucky Bluegrass for seeding or overseeding.
Use: Banner, Bayleton, Chipco GT, Cleary’s 3336, Compass, Consyst, Eagle, Fathom, Heritage, Systec.

Algae
Environmental management: Reduce compaction, avoid frequent watering. Key is good drainage and water infiltration. When using wetting agents, reduce water usage to allow top of soil to dry. Remove dew to allow turf to dry quicker. Topdressing and cultivation during periods of active turfgrass growth is beneficial. Employ practices for vigorous top growth and raise mower heights if possible.
Use: Fore, Junction, Pentathalon.

Moss
Environmental management: Reduce compaction; avoid frequent watering. Key is good drainage and water infiltration. When using wetting agents, reduce water usage to allow top of soil to dry.
